Die Theorie der schwachen Bindungen (WEAK TIES) besagt, dass Bekannte wahrscheinlich einflussreicher sind als enge Freund:innen, insbesondere in sozialen Netzwerken. Es handelt sich um ein soziologisches Konzept, das die Rolle schwächerer sozialer Bindungen bei der Erleichterung von Kommunikation und Informationsaustausch erklärt. So viel zum theoretischen Überbau. In der Praxis ist das Powerviolence in, äh, Reinform. Wobei zuletzt von WEAK TIES eigentlich auch wieder eher eine Kurve in Richtung HC-Punk gekratzt wurde. Kaum ein Song über zwei Minuten. Aber viel mehr Zeit ist eigentlich nicht notwendig, um Aggressionen, Angespanntheit und Kompromisslosigkeit walten zu lassen. WEAK TIES machen neben Bands wie PUNCH oder COCAINE PISS eine gute Figur, was ja nun wahrlich keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr ist. THIS IS PUNK!
WEAK TIES theory states that acquaintances are likely to be more influential than close friends, especially in social networks. In practice, this is powerviolence in its purest form. Whereas recently WEAK TIES have actually taken a turn in the direction of HC punk. Hardly a song over two minutes. But much more time is not really necessary to let aggression, tension and uncompromisingness prevail. WEAK TIES cut a good figure next to bands like PUNCH or COCAINE PISS, which is really not a matter of course anymore. THIS IS PUNK!
