Da steht diese vermeintliche Indie-Band auf der Bühne und schaut ganz unbedarft – und du stehst ewig weit weg – denkst „Mensch, kann auch bald mal losgehen“. Und mit einem Mal rüttelt’s dir die Eingeweide durcheinander – Head over Heels. Ein wüster Genremix aus Hardcore, krummer Taktung, Punk, Metal und Powerviolence-Andeutungen ballert dir die Beschissenheit der Dinge geradewegs ins Gesicht. Vorbei ist es mit friedlich in der Ecke dösen. Konfrontiert mit sexistischen „Normalzuständen“, Autoritarismus und dem Hass auf Autos beim Fahrradfahren kommst du hier ganz sicher nicht ungeschoren davon! Alles ziemlich komplex und nicht eben grade sonderlich lebensbejahend. Aber extrem gut!
There’s this supposed indie band on stage and you’re looking at them without a care in the world – and you’re standing far away, thinking „Man, this could happen soon“. And all of a sudden it shakes your guts – Head over Heels. A wild genre mix of hardcore, crooked beats, punk, metal and hints of powerviolence blasts the shittiness of things straight into your face. No more dozing peacefully in the corner. Confronted with sexist „normalities“, authoritarianism and hatred of cars while riding a bike, you certainly won’t get off scot-free here! It’s all quite complex and not particularly life-affirming. But extremely good!
