Nach vielen Jahren des Darbens wird unser ansonsten so bescheidenes Line-Up 2023 endlich wieder durch CHRIS IMLER veredelt. Seine Kooperationen lesen sich wie das einzig wahre Who-is-Who der Indiemusik auf der Höhe der Zeit, sein Konzertkalender so prall gefüllt, dass wir kaum erstaunter sein können, dass dieser fleischgewordene Musikgott ausgerechnet bei uns Halt macht. Die Liveperformances dieses unnachahmlichen „Drum Dandy“ und „Beat Poeten“ entstehen immer aus Rhythmus – mal live gespielt, mal vorprogrammiert. Ohne eine Lichtgestalt wie CHRIS IMLER wäre das Nachtleben Berlins allenfalls so spannend wie das von Oer-Erkenschwick.
After many years of languishing, our otherwise modest 2023 line-up will finally be ennobled again by CHRIS IMLER. His collaborations read like the only true who’s who of indie music at its peak, his concert calendar so packed that we can hardly be more surprised that this music god made flesh is stopping by us of all places. The live performances of this inimitable „drum dandy“ and „beat poet“ always arise from rhythm – sometimes played live, sometimes pre-programmed. Without a luminous figure like CHRIS IMLER, Berlin’s nightlife would at best be as exciting as that in Oer-Erkenschwick.
